Why the Buzzman? It's the BrEEze!
Below is Our Original Buzzman Sensor, plus details on our NOW
available...
Smart Controls & All Digital Wireless Buzzman Generation #6 with new
Added Double Wind Capacity
|
The Original "Buzz Man" wind sensor
was an
adjustable (by the installer) motorized propeller sensor that would roll your awning in
automatically at the first 25-35-mile per hour gust (set
accordingly to the size of your awning, and special
needs, depending on size and exposure, to keep it safe. It
then checked every 12-min. to see if the storm had passed. It
could be set to roll the awning back out automatically or
set to stay in and shut off automatically. This optional
unit was highly recommended and used for Years on Our
Buzzman Awnings wider than
15' x
10' as the larger the unit, the great susceptibility
there was to damage by strong wind.
The Sensor Location was Critical on our Older Buzzman
Propellor.
We now Have; "The Awning That Thinks"
This gives us new software Sensing to work Smoothly with
our Generation #6 Buzzman.
We Now have Higher Ratings of Wind and Special Smart
Controls Too. For Details on the proper use and
recommended settings of our Old Buzzman wind sensor and

The Buzzman Supreme model is made up of all heavy American made
stock components, thick, white epoxy/PVC coated/full bath dipped
over heavy aluminum alloy frames. Alloy is stronger than plain
aluminum and has an elastic quality under stress to return to shape.
Other companies import German, Italian, or French awnings and other lightweight, thin models for
light wind and no rain only. Premier will never use these inferior
systems.
The competitors’ frames are thinner, white powder baked enamel
paint, or, anodized coated on lighter and thinner plain aluminum
frames (The best competitor level is 6063 T-6). They mix their
frames with steel, main support square bars
and round tubes, which
will cause metal erosion and corrosion. Our coatings and All Alloy
Frames (where 14 out of 16 of our main frame components parts are higher level than 6063T-6) are vital in providing resiliency to salt on ocean fronts and
protection in humid climates. The thicker the coating, the better
(our coatings are 3-times thicker than the standard in the industry).
Increased strength of the Premier unit is up to 3-times thicker in the gauge of the aluminum alloy and
using the higher strength levels available for alloy products, makes
it one of the best in the world. Our
main support square bar, main support front bar with built-in
gutter, and roller tube are high torsion, maximum strength
alloy which stops the metal erosion and corrosion of a dissimilar
metals giving us longevity with heavy rain and wind strength. The
competitions' frames are often standard aluminum with non-aluminum
square bar and no protection inside the steel bar to stop corrosion,
and no torsion or twist and bounce back ability when under stress.
Our
frames are manufactured here in the USA - here are some photos of

FRAMES
Our BUZZMAN FRAMES are 70% Manufactured and Extruded by us!
ALL ALUMINUM (from head to toe) with Bronze Bushings and Stainless
Steel Shafts (competitors use just Aluminum Bushings and Stainless
Rods, at best).
We have High Strength and High Tinsel Aluminum (not soft, 6063 aluminum, as most other competitors
have).
We are made from "AMERICAN MADE" Extruded Profiles from an
American Extrusion Plant from;..........
100% Recycled Aluminum, using Our Own
Dies and Our Own Press Plates, Designed and Owned By Us!
AMERICA Still Is In The Top Three;
"Best Metallurgy Providers In The World" and.... The Hardest and
Most Complicated Alloys Are Made From Recycled
Material.
WE ARE GREEN!
Even
our Direct Imported European Raw Parts, are made from recycled
aluminum, as is most of the world! We have the Finest Coatings
on Our Parts!
ARMS
Our awning arms have Triple Angled Elbows Triple Springs sealed inside for water
tightness. Triple Strength and added stiffness allows maximum use on
windy beach fronts etc.
Competitors’ versions have single or double
cable arms or fabric straps, with standard strength springs, allowing reduced tension
of the main deck fabric. Their main deck fabric will droop, while
Our Main Deck Fabric looks like a
Flat Piece of Wood, all the way across the whole awning.
Tripple Angled Elbow Joints
It's Exclusive!
Buzzman is;
The Only One to have this Design!
This allows our Buzzman to remain
higher, above your head, at less of a tilted pitch angle, until the
awning is rolled out all the way.
The Buzzman will drop down an extra 12" lower, when it
reaches "the last 12" of rolling out",
so that you get extra blocked shade
for the "Early Morning or End of the Day" Sun, and extra "Tilt-Down"
for Heavy "Rain Run-Off".
Buzzman is Strong Enough and Smart Enough to REMAIN IN USE and
Extended, which gives more shade and
almost Every Day of Use, while others try to roll down extra
flapping sheets from the front bar on their awning, to block the
afternoon sun. They cannot remain out in any Mild Breeze!
An extra long valance blocker, from competitor's models, cannot be
used on any breezy days.
Buzzman stays higher above your head, until you need the
extra tilt at the end!
BRACKETS
Our brackets are heavy, thick aluminum alloy with thick epoxy/PVC
coating to ensure complete protection from the elements. The
competitors' brackets are lighter and thinner, and just plain
aluminum, powder baked enamel.
FABRICS
We use Sunbrella, and Dickson as they are 100% acrylic, including the
trim. They can be rolled up even when wet, without forming mildew
and provide the highest longevity for awning material used in roll
out awnings. There are 300 colors to choose from with companion trim
valance included. We have our own special cleaner;
Buzzman Awning Juice Cleaner. Spray on
straight....don't scrub or hose......eats dirt for three weeks.
Keeps awnings like new for up to fifteen years if used twice per
year, or as needed. Our awnings always look new if used as needed.
MOTORS
Electric motors are completely sealed and then inserted inside the
fabric roller tube of the awning, never being exposed to the
elements. The torque required to roll the awning in and out is
always constant which allows motors to run almost indefinitely
without breakdowns of service (15 years of uninterrupted service is
common and 10 years is almost expected). On heavy aluminum hurricane
shutters the torque is constantly changing during the retraction,
becoming harder as it rolls up. This is what takes a toll on these
motors and slowly deteriorates them. The retractable roll out
awnings always have a lighter, constant torque requirement and
therefore perform their task day in and day out on an extremely low
level requirement from their available capability.
